  • March 23, 2019
  • 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Pleasant Harbor Marina, 40202 87th Ave , Peoria, AZ

Note: This is NOT a LPSC event.  Registration is via SailAZ Meetup.

(We will gather at the blue shuttle shelter in the public parking lot above the marina.)

Are you a woman interested in literally sailing into the future? Or perhaps you already know how to get across an ocean using only the wind? Of maybe you are just curious about sailing in the desert? The knot tie tea party is for all of you.

The National Women's Sailing Association president will host and be the lead knot teacher at Lake Pleasant, (west of Anthem). This will be the first of a monthly National Women's Sailing Association's Learn About Sailing Things (L.A.S.T.) workshops for women sailors in the greater Phoenix area.

At the knot tea party -- you will socialize, drink tea (or an beverage you choose), learn to tie a few useful nautical knots, and watch the sun as it lowers over the lake as we decide what to learn next about sailing.

Notes: RSVP via email is required -- the park is expansive, you might want directions to the meeting place. There is a $6 fee for entry into the Pleasant Harbor Regional park. The L.A.S.T. group will meet at the blue topped shuttle shelter in the public parking lot above the marina entrance and private parking -- . This shelter will be a good gathering place.

Our friends at Tumbleweed Sailing will provide refreshments...tea and crumpets. pease bring your own tea cup.
