Three Experiences / One Lake
1. Kayaking - bring your own or rent a kayak to explore various locations near Pleasant Harbor on Lake Pleasant by kayak in a group.
2. Sailing and Power boating - enjoy the lake and optionally navigate to sailboat and power boat specific coordinates on the lake using your Smartphone or Chartplotter (GPS).
3. Learning to sail - you have to start somewhere and what better place than Lake Pleasant for an introduction to sailing. Sail on a larger sailboat with a certified sailboat instructor, who will navigate to the different waypoints while teaching basic sailboating skills. See if you find sailing addictive!
Regardless of the experience you select, you can be an environmentalist and retrieve some flotsam and jetsam (a nautical term for floating things thrown in the water aka trash...plastic bottles, party balloons, aluminum cans) you encounter along your route. Your safety is most important to us. Only retrieve objects if safe for you to do so. Please bring any objects back to the marina for GoPaddleAZ to dispose.
Start time is 9:30 for sailboat instruction and 10:30 am for all other boaters and kayakers. This could change slightly based on wind conditions. All participants will meet at Pleasant Harbor Marina in front of Dillon's. Please arrive 20 minutes earlier than our scheduled start time so we can get everyone set up and ready to go on schedule.
Follow the on water experience with socializing at Dillon’s Restaurant at 1:00 pm. Enjoy yourself in a group "where sailors meet sailors" and share your adventures with those who participated in other activities while enjoying a no-host lunch.

One environmentalist among you may win a free lunch (up to $20) for recovering the most unusual bit of flotsam or jetsam on the lake today. So, if you recover something truly noteworthy, please take and email a photo of it with a description of where it was found to the LPSC Event Host at info@lakepleasantsailing.com .

You will deal directly with and may select any company to provide you a kayak, a sailboat, power boat or sailboat instruction for this event. LPSC reached out to all of our "Friends of LPSC" sponsors for support. The following "Friends of LPSC" sponsors have responded with these very attractive discount rates.
GoPaddleAZ is providing 50% discount for a two hour rental to the first 10 kayakers who register for our event and rent either a one or two person kayak.
Tom Errickson of the Sailboat Shop, and also a Lifetime Member of LPSC, is providing a significantly discounted "Introduction to Sailing" rate for up to six people for a three hour sail with certified skipper on a sailboat.
